Hotel-Restaurant located in Vars, chemin des Cassettes, on the Happy slope near the Mayt chairlift at an altitude of 2200 meters. We would be delighted to show you, in the heart of Vars, the unique and unusual character of Chal 'Happy, at an altitude of 2200 m in the middle of the slopes and in the middle of nature.
In Winter: Le Chal'Heureux being located in the heart of the slopes, you will have to leave your vehicle in the resort, we will take you to the Hotel by SNOWMOBILE and sleds from 5.30 p.m.
Possibility of closed garage with supplement.
If you wish, you can also arrive on your own (Skiing, Snowshoeing, Hiking)
1- Booking conditions
Your online reservation on the chalheureux.com site is systematically guaranteed and you must provide your credit card number to validate the reservation. A reservation confirmation email will be sent to you with your reservation number. An invalid credit card will result in the cancellation of the reservation.
2 - Cancellation conditions
All reservations must be canceled. Without a confirmed cancellation on our part, no amount will be refunded.
In the event of cancellation less than 45 days before the date of the stay, 50% of the total amount of the stay will be retained.
In the event of cancellation less than 30 days before the date of the stay, the entire stay is due: Half-board, room and breakfast.
In the event of a stay started and then shortened, the entire stay is due: half-board, bed and breakfast.
3 - Accommodation
Room rentals go from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. (if late departure request 50 € will be requested) with a maximum arrival at 9:00 p.m.
Half-board is compulsory with breakfast and evening meal (excluding drinks). In no case may the evening meal be deducted or taken at midday instead of in the evening.
As the hotel is located at altitude and in the ski area, we are dependent on the opening and closing times of the slopes. We provide transfers from resort to chalet or chalet to resort upon arrival or departure either in the morning before 8:15 a.m., or at the end of the afternoon after 5:30 p.m. maximum 9:00 p.m.
Outside of these hours, customers access the chalet on their own.
The triple and quadruple rooms are equipped with a 140 bed and an 80 bed (single or bunk), and are ideal for a couple with one or two children under the age of twelve.
Drinks and food outside the hotel are prohibited.
NB. For any item missing from the rooms, the amount corresponding to the item will be deducted from the credit card left as a guarantee (i.e. Key € 50, Plaid € 50)
4- Spa Over 2 days, a half-hour access is offered to the kota sauna and the Norwegian bath during a 7-night stay, 2 accesses of 30 minutes are offered; if more 10 € / person / 1/2 hour will be requested.
It is forbidden to consume drinks in the spa as well as food.
The spa is under your own responsibility and is prohibited for pregnant women.
5-Snowmachine In Winter: Le Chal'Heureux being located in the heart of the slopes, you will have to leave your vehicle in the resort, we will take you to the Hotel by snowmachine from 5.30 p.m. (depending on the opening and closing of the slopes ) Possibility of closed garage with supplement.
6 - Payment terms For stays of less than 3 nights, full payment is taken at the time of booking. For stays longer than 3 nights, 50% of the amount of the stay is taken on booking, the balance 20 days before the start of the stay.
7 - Price The prices mentioned on the site are in euros. They are understood per room and per night.

In summer breakfast is 16 € / person, for lunch and dinner we work à la carte, or the hotel menu is at 32 € per person excluding drinks, we hope to treat you to our good dishes prepared with The greatest care and all homemade with mainly fresh and local products, breakfast is not included in the room rate but you just have to ask us. WIFI is free in the common areas of the hotel and your room.
You can book the Kota Sauna from 5:00 p.m., it's a wonderful way to unwind after a day of mountain biking or hiking!
In summer the path is passable by car but it is better to have a 4x4. Do not hesitate to call us so that we can pick you up from the station on 0967745908. You can leave your car in the large caribou parking lot, in front of the Flocon restaurant or if you prefer we have the possibility of a closed garage at 12 €.
We accept dogs with a supplement of 10 € per night (under certain conditions).
